Scarves are not only a practical accessory to keep you warm, but also a stylish way to spice up your outfit. Whether you prefer a classic woolen scarf, a trendy infinity scarf, or a colourful silk scarf, there is a scarf for every occasion and mood.

In this blog post, I will share with you some of CH Cashmere's favorite ways to wear a scarf this winter, and some tips on how to choose the right scarf that suits you the best. Let's get started!

loop scarf

The Loop

This is one of the easiest and most versatile ways to wear a scarf. Simply fold your scarf in half, wrap it around your neck, and pull the ends through the loop. You can adjust the tightness and length of the loop to suit your preference. This works with any type of scarf, but especially with long and thing ones.

knot scarf

The Knot

This is another simple and elegant way to wear a scarf. Juts wrap your scarf around your neck once, and tie a loose knot with the ends. You can leave the knot on the side, or move it to the front or back of your neck This looks great with medium-length scarves that have some texture or pattern.

twist scarf

The Twist

This is a fun and playful way to wear a scarf. Start by wrapping your scarf around your neck once, leaving one end longer than the other. Then twist the longer end around the shorter one, until you have a spiral effect. Tuck the ends under the twist, or leave them hanging for a casual look. This works best with soft and fluffy scarves that add some volume.

Now that you know how to tie a scarf, I will explain to you how to choose the right material of the scarf that suits you the best. Depending on your skin type, your personal preference, and the occasion, you may want to opt for different materials of scarves. Here are some factors to consider when choosing the right material of scarf for you.

Wool

Wool is a natural fiber that is warm, durable, and breathable. Wool scarves are ideal for Winter, as they can protect you from the wind and snow. Wool scarves come in various types, such as merino wool, cashmere, alpaca and mohair. Each type has its own characteristics, such as softness, thickness, and texture. Wool scarves are generally more expensive than synthetic ones, but they are also more durable and long-lasting.

Cotton

Cotton is another natural fiber that is soft, lightweight, and comfortable. Cotton scarves are perfect for Spring and Summer, as they can keep you cool and fresh. Cotton scarves are also easy to wash and care for, and they come in a variety of colours and patterns. Cotton scarves are usually cheaper than wool ones, but they may also wrinkle and fade more easily.

Silk

Silk is a luxurious and elegant material that is smooth, shiny, and delicate. Silk scarves are great for any season, as they can add a touch of sophistication and glamour to your outfit. Silk scarves are also versatile, as they can be worn in different ways, such as around your neck, on your head, or as a belt. Silk scarves are more expensive than cotton ones, but they are also more durable and resistant to stains.

Polyester

Polyester is a synthetic material that is cheap, durable, and easy to care for. Polyester scarves are suitable for any season, as they can mimic the look and feel of natural fibers. Polyester scarves are also available in a wide range of colours and styles, so you can find one that matches your personality and mood. Polyester scarves are less breathable than natural ones, but they are also more resistant to wrinkles and fading.

Cashmere

Cashmere scarves are soft, lightweight, and durable. They can add a touch of elegance and sophistication to any outfit, whether casual or formal. Cashmere scarves come in different weights, depending on how many layers of cashmere are used to make them. The weight of cashmere affects the warmth, thickness, and drape of the scarf. Cashmere scarves are usually more expensive than other types of scarves because of their high quality and rarity. However, the price of cashmere also varies depending on the brand, design, and craftsmanship of the scarf.
